These plates are wheel thrown speckled stoneware. Just a stripe of natural clay is exposed to reveal its beauty. I call it grip strip because the tumblers that go with these plates are easier to hold with the naked clay stripe. There are currently two styles and two sizes, tumblers, and serving bowls to match.
